I'm a product designer in B2B SaaS. I like unglamorous problems, heavy barbells, and stories about worlds that don't exist (yet).

My Backstory
I design close to the people who'll have to use what I make because the work is better when you've watched someone hit the wall you're trying to remove.
Enterprise software gets complicated for two reasons: the problem is genuinely complex, or someone made a shortcut years ago that everyone still has to live with.
Half my job is telling those apart and clearing out the second kind, so people can get back to the work they were actually hired to do.
The other half is the genuinely complex problems, the ones where nobody can hand you the answer because it doesn't exist yet. That's the part I find most fun.
Outside of work, I love watching movies at TIFF, reading speculative fiction/scifi/fantasy and weightlifting.
